Crock Pot Creation #2

Made it to #2! *Yay me*

(seriously groggy this a.m. so bear with me if this doesn't make sense, or if I mess it up ;)

Pork Chops and Gravy
by Sharon Wantland in Menomonee Falls, WI
(makes 8 servings)

8 pork chops
salt to taste
pepper to taste
2 Tbsp. oil
2- 10 3/4 oz. cans cream of mushroom soup
1 large onion, sliced
12oz. can evaporated milk

1. Season pork chops with salt and pepper. Brown in oil. Drain. Transfer to slow cooker.

2. In separate bowl, whisk together mushroom soup, onion, and evaporated milk until smooth. Pour over chops.

3. Cook on High 3-4 hours, or Low 6-8 hours.

To increase flavor, stir 1/2-1 cup sour cream, or 1/4 cup sherry, into mixture during last 30 minutes of cooking time.

My weird methods:
Really didn't have any with this one, oh except that I only had 6 pork chops, not 8 and it worked fine.

Hubby and kids thoughts:
Once again hubby thought it was great! All he had to do was make up some rice and a veggie and it was game on! Owen loved it! Cole was being his normal pissy, picky self.

All in all, another winner! Yay!

I have Fix It and Forget It Lightly, and what is up with the weird crock pot sizes? Some recipes you really have to jam it in there!

Also, in the light book, some recipes are really gross. :) Like I made Taco Corn bread and it burned...but even if it hadn't it STILL would have been gross.

Zen Ventures

sounds yummy! except that I don't eat pork, so I guess I'll try that with chicken or beef maybe? :) Anyway, thot I'll hop on over here from SITS - Have a happy weekend!

Red Headed Mama

I may have to try this one!

DysFUNctional Mom

I make this but I don't brown the pork chops first. Tastes great, less dishes, less time, less effort!

Lex the mom

This sounds very good - especially here at our house! We eat pork chops at least 2 times a month! A variation would be fab!

Have you gotten my emails? I'm just curious if I'm getting put in your spam box or somethin'. ;) I have something to send you...still!

ok...i am jacked up about this recipe...i can't wait til hubs gets hom from his business trip to try this one. the only thing he loves mroe than pork chops and fat is a little gravy on top. how is it that he is the skinny one? sick. absolutely sick.
